RURAL YOUTH
While working with street youth, YDC recognized some problems that's needed to be addressed at it's root cause. And that is to empower the poverty stricken rural communities and prevent the rural youth from migrating to cities where they either end up on the streets or in slums with meager income and many issues. Therefore in 2007 YDC initiated rural youth empowerment to reach rural youth with wholistic approach.
Summer Vacation Program
Computers & Spoken English
A short-term summer vacation program designed to enhance the skills of rural youth, to widen their knowledge and horizon in a planned manner to counter poverty and community issues.
Free tuitions for dropouts
3 months before exams
This is a tailor made program run with help of volunteers who help motivate rural youth and prepare the dropouts for the exams. This is an added advantage to the economically weaker section that increases their chances of success in the board exam.
Sports outreach
To suit most of the young persons in the village and to develop health recreation in the age of gadget geeks.
